MCM – Poop Patrol
General Infomation and Service Policies
How often does our company come out?
Most customers prefer service once a week, but other schedules can be arranged. If you would like to know more about the availability of our service more or less often than once a week, please contact us.
Do we work through the winter?
Yes, we work through most weather all year. Dogs keep making their messes all year long, and our company continues to clean up and remove waste through winter. Some customers prefer to put service on hold for the cold months, although there may be an extra service charge for the first cleanup the following spring because of all the accumulated mess.
What happens when it snows or rains?
We’ll work in most weather, but there may be days when heavy rain, snow or ice, or very cold weather can stop us from yard clean up. If there is more than about two inches of snow or other conditions that keep us from safely and completely doing our job, we will cancel that day’s service. There will be a half a visit credit for this cancellation (remember, we still will need to pick that waste up eventually.) We will usually work in the rain, too, although a very heavy rainfall may postpone our service. In any of these circumstances, we will contact you to let you know.
What about holidays?
We will give our workers the following days off to spend with their families, so we won’t be out on these days: 1) New Years Day. 2) Memorial Day. 3) July 4th, Independence Day. 4) Labor Day. 5) Thanksgiving Day. 6) Christmas Day.
If a holiday falls on a regular service day, we will let you know how the holiday will affect your service and what is the rescheduled day.
Should you unlock your gate?
Yes, please. We don’t allow our employees to climb or jump over fences, or access yards by going through homes, so please have your gate unlocked on your service day. You may provide us with a key or tell us the combination if that will be convenient for you, or, if you like, we will loan you a lock at no cost to you.
Can we work with your dog in the yard?
In most cases, no. We love dogs! But we don’t want to take unnecessary risks with your dog or our workers. Sometimes a dog will simply not allow us into the yard, making it unsafe for us, it can also be difficult to work with a dog using the yard at the same time.
What if you want to skip a day?
You will not be charged if you call the company office in time for us to tell the service worker to skip your clean-up that day. If the dog will be gone for a couple of weeks, or if for some other reason you want us to skip your clean-up for more than a single service day, we can put your service on hold and you will not be charged for those days. If you are on a prepaid discount, you will still not be charged for the visit(s), but you will lose any prepayment discount if more than one visit is skipped in that prepayment time frame.
HOWEVER, if your gate is locked, or the dog is in the yard, when we come to do the work, it may be necessary to charge for the service call that could not be completed.
How do you prefer to pay us?
We will send an invoice via email at the end of each month after the work is done and you can pay online with your credit or debit card or mail a check. We also offer an automatic monthly subscription service if you would like the convenience of not having to write a check or going online to make a payment each month. We offer discounts for pre-payment of service for 6 months or a year, as well. If you would like to change your payment method, just contact us and we’ll take care of that for you. If you would like an invoice left at your home at the end of the service month please let us know.
There is a 5% convenience fee if you would like us to automatically bill your credit card each month and send you a receipt. There is a $5.00 late fee for accounts not paid by the 15th of the month following the service. There is a $35 returned check fee. All service will be on hold until all invoices are paid to date in these instances.
Are there any contracts you have to sign?
No. We can start and stop your service over the phone or email. We do not require contracts, there is no minimum service period, and there is no advance notice required to cancel service. Canceled service after prepayment will be refunded minus the discount.
Is there an extra charge for the first time?
If it has been more than a couple of weeks since your yard has been free of dog poop, and there is an excessive waste accumulation. The initial clean-up charge is $60 for up to 60 minutes of clean-up and $15 for each additional 15 minutes. There is a $60 minimum. If there is little or no accumulated waste, the extra charge will be waived.
Is it possible to get a one-time-only service?
Sure! One-time-only, or short-term service may be easily arranged. One Time Cleaning rates are $80 for the first 60 minutes. Each additional 15 minutes is charged at an additional $20 per. Total cost will depend on the amount of waste, size and overall condition of the property. There is an $80 minimum. Payment is due at time of service being rendered. Checks are not accepted for one time clean ups.
How about special occasion service?
If you are a current on-going customer and you need special service for a backyard party or similar occasion, we can arrange an extra cleanup at a particular time and day for an extra charge. Give us a call or drop us an email to arrange that.
What do we mean by “SATISFACTION GUARANTEED”?
We promise that you will get service you are happy with or you don’t have to pay for it! We know our business depends on doing excellent work, and it’s the quality of our service on which we stake our success. We’re working very hard to make our name mean reliable, high-quality service. We strive to provide perfect service, so if there is ever a time when our service is not completely satisfactory, please let us know right away. We will make it right, either by coming back to re-clean the yard the same day or the next day, or by crediting your account so you won’t be charged.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR BUSINESS!
